About the Council
The Sharjah Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research is an advisory body established by Amiri Decree No. (14) of 2025. It enjoys legal personality and financial and administrative independence.
The Council aims to develop the higher education and scientific research ecosystem in the Emirate of Sharjah by entrenching quality and excellence standards, strengthening integration among higher education institutions, and supporting a research environment that contributes to innovation and sustainable development.
The Council works to consolidate the Emirate of Sharjah's standing as a leading scientific hub in education and knowledge, and as an incubator environment for creativity that prepares generations capable of meeting the requirements of the future.
